After a Fatal Crash Florida Dogs Find New Home Thanks To Social Media
After a tragic car accident took the life of Boca Raton, Florida resident Paul Marino last week leaving his family and friends deeply mourning. But they weren’t the only ones affected by his sudden death. The accident also left his two cherished dogs in need of a new home. The two closely bonded dogs, Rocky, a five-year-old English bull dog and Cross, a seven-year-old bull terrier needed to find a home where they could stay together.
Unfortunately, the family did not have the means to keep the dogs, and there was no one who could take them in or even foster them. If the dogs could not find new homes immediately, the family would have to take them to the animal shelter.
Family and friends quickly reached out to the media and Facebook for help.
This is when the wonders of social media began. Pooches in the Pines, a Florida volunteer rescue group, stepped in and featured Rocky and Cross on their Facebook page explaining their situation and dire need for a home. This is where Elias and Natalie first saw them. They have since adopted the pair and have reported that they are doing great.
