Pileup forced 6-hour closure on Basin Bridge

Around 1:30 in the morning on March 22, a seven-car pileup was reported on I-10 East between Atchafalaya and Ramah. State Police have reported that this wreck involved two 18-wheelers. The cleanup from the accident lasted until 7:30 in the morning, when law enforcement officers stated they had to wake up drivers who had fallen asleep while being stuck on the bridge. We do not have any record of injuries, however we are sure there was immense damage to the vehicles involved, and possibly some of the trucks’ cargo.

In Louisiana, I-10 car accidents and truck wrecks can be one of the most traumatic experiences one can go through. Not only can they cause damage to vehicles, they can also cause severe harm to drivers behind the wheel.
