How the Giveaway Works

We’re excited to spread a little extra joy to families across Louisiana this holiday season with our 14th annual Gordon Gives Bike Giveaway!

Families can enter for a chance to receive a free children’s bike and helmet by completing the entry form on this page. Once the entry period closes, winners will be selected at random and notified by email and phone.

Please note: Submitting an entry does not guarantee that you will be selected to receive a bike. Only confirmed winners will be eligible to pick up a bike at their city’s scheduled giveaway event.

Be sure to provide accurate contact information and keep an eye on your email and phone so our team can reach you if you’re selected!

FAQs

What size bike should I select for my entry?
We recommend a 16” bike for a 3 to 5-year-old and a 20” bike for a 6 to 9-year-old. All 16″ bikes come with removeable training wheels.

How will I know if I’ve been selected as a winner?
Winners will be selected at random and notified by email and a phone call from a member of our team. Please be sure to answer our call or return any missed calls, as we will need to verify your information before your city’s scheduled giveaway event

Can I attend the Bike Giveaway if I wasn’t selected as a winner?
To help manage crowds and ensure a smooth pickup process, we ask that only confirmed winners and their families attend the event.

How do I claim my bike?
Simply arrive at your city’s scheduled giveaway event with your winner confirmation email and a valid photo ID. Our team will verify your information and help you collect your bike. For pickup dates and times, please refer to the “Event Dates & Times for Winner Pickup” section of this page.

Can someone else pick up my bike if I’m unable to attend?
Yes! You can designate an alternate pickup person on your entry form. If your pickup person changes after submitting your entry, please email egaffney@getgordon.com to update your information. Be sure to forward your winner confirmation email to your designated pickup person. They must bring the confirmation email and a valid photo ID to claim your bike.

Can I pick up my bike at a later date if I miss the event?
Yes! Winners or their designated pickup person may collect their bikes from the appropriate GMIA office during regular pickup hours, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., until the following deadlines:   

• Tuesday, December 8: Lake Charles, Lafayette, Alexandria, Monroe, and Shreveport
• Wednesday, December 16: Hammond, Baton Rouge, and Metairie

Upon arrival, please check in with the front desk for assistance. Be sure to bring your winner confirmation email and a valid photo ID.
