Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys, Shreveport Area Transit System, and Lamar Advertising Company team up with Susan G. Komen and the American Cancer Society to Ride for a Cure. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Gordon McKernan decided to extend the awareness to a year-round effort by wrapping two SporTran buses in hot pink, and Lamar Advertising Company is supporting the cause by donating digital billboard space. Gordon McKernan’s goal was to foster awareness of breast cancer and other types of cancer by wrapping the buses in hot pink, hopefully, to bring year-round visibility and to encourage others to donate to Susan G. Komen and the American Cancer Society. On Monday, October 15, the Get Gordon team will provide a day of free rides in Shreveport on the SporTran’s routes in their newly-wrapped hot pink buses to ͞Ride for a Cure. Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys will match the amount of the free rides in donations to Susan G. Komen and the American Cancer Society. Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys, the Shreveport Transit System, and Lamar Advertising Company want to do their part to support Susan G. Komen and the American Cancer Society so that someday, no family will lose a loved one to cancer. SporTran will host a press conference at the SporTran bus terminal on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at 10 a.m. and announce the details of the campaign. Susan G. Komen and the American Cancer Society will be on hand with information on helping to fight cancer and how we can all support the mission of finding a cure for cancer.
