I understand that many of the students involved in the school bus accident in LaPlace have returned to school. Last week, 21 students from Lake Pontchartrain Elementary and Middle School were on their way home after school when an 18-wheeler crashed into their bus injuring the bus driver and six students. Four of the students were taken by ambulance to the hospital with moderate injuries. State Police do not think that alcohol was a factor in the accident, but the truck driver has been charged with careless operation and negligent injury. Did you know that studies have concluded that large trucks are nearly twice as likely as passenger vehicles to be involved in multi-vehicle crashes? What’s more, nearly 25 percent of fatal accidents involve a large truck, even though they represent a mere three percent of all registered vehicles. I believe that many of these crashes are the result of a preventable problem – truck driver fatigue. If you are injured in a truck accident caused by a fatigued truck driver, you will want an attorney with the experience and know how to successfully represent you against Big Truck Insurance Companies. If you have been hurt in an accident we can take on the insurance companies and help you get full and fair compensation for your pain and suffering. If you have been hurt, let me help you.
