New Numbers On Auto Wreck Costs and Fatalities
As summer and holiday weekends approach, unfortunately the number of road fatalities continues to rise, but you'd be surprised to find out why. One study from CBC News reports that non-holiday weekends aren't as deadly as holiday weekends. In fact, the report shows that the number of fatalities on holiday weekends is 18 percent higher. Surprisingly enough, accidents that involved people who were drinking and driving decrease on long weekends. The reason being: People aren't willing to take the risk of drinking and driving with their families, whom they're likely with on holiday weekends.
