About Brian C. Colomb


Brian Colomb, originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, graduated from St. Thomas More Catholic High School in 1990. He attended USL (now the University of Louisiana) on a track and field scholarship before obtaining both his undergraduate and law degrees from LSU. Brian is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana, as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. Brian has spent his entire legal career representing those injured and killed by the negligence of others including in 18-wheeler accidents, auto accidents, products liability, and various maritime accidents including rig workers, divers, Jones Act seamen, longshoremen and those working on river tugboats, push boats, and barges.

Brian’s extensive maritime experience has afforded him the opportunity to represent clients across the United States and worldwide. Some of his notable cases include:

  • $9,000,000.00 – Recovery for 73-year-old fisherman paralyzed when he struck a low hanging cable
  • $4,300,000.00 – Client that was injured in an auto accident and suffered a mild, traumatic brain injury
  • $3,000,000.00 – Worker who sustained lumbar spine and pelvic injuries in a platform explosion
  • $3,000,000.00 – Arkansas towboat worker who sustained a back injury in Pennsylvania
  • $1,500,000.00 – British construction worker who sustained a cervical injury off the coast of Africa
  • $1,500,000.00 – Female who sustained foot and neck injuries in an 18-wheeler collision
  • $1,200,000.00 – Federal court verdict for the family of a prisoner killed on a drilling rig while in work release
  • $1,000,000.00+– Worker burned in a roll-over accident
  • $900,000 – Diver who sustained a back injury working in the Gulf of Mexico

Brian was also part of teams that recovered:

    Brian is married to his high-school sweetheart, Elise, and they have two children. They are parishioners of Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church. Brian enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, cycling, fishing and coaching track and field.
