About Shannon Eastman-Stuart

The entire Get Gordon Family was saddened with the recent passing of one of our longtime attorneys Shannon Eastman-Stuart. Shannon was a remarkable attorney, wonderful wife, and loving mother. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew her. Although we are hurting because she is no longer with us, we are thankful that she is no longer suffering and today is in paradise with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We created the Get Gordon Team in memory of Shannon. We hope you’ll stand with us! Together, we can make a difference to those affected by this devastating disease. We can show the world that it’s time to make surviving lung cancer the expectation, not the exception.

Here are three ways you can join us in making this vision a reality:

  • Donate to a team member to support our fundraising efforts – find the team list at the right side of this page
  • Click on the “Join” button to join our team
  • Spread the word about our fundraising efforts by sending the link to this webpage to everyone you know

The money we raise together will support the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and its mission to improve lung cancer outcomes by funding research for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure of lung cancer. We are raising funds that will save lives. You can help us bring hope to those affected by lung cancer.

Please donate today and invite a friend to do the same. If you can join our team for the event, we’d love to have you! We can’t wait to celebrate our successes with you on event day.

Originally from New Orleans, Ms. Eastman-Stuart relocated to the Northwestern portion of the country – living in Montana, Colorado, Idaho, and Oregon – before returning to graduate high school in Louisiana. She then attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government, with minors in History and Biology. During her time at Southeastern University, Ms. Eastman-Stuart was named to the Dean’s List numerous times. She was also a member of the Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society and the Phi Alpha Theta Honors History Society. She pursued a Master’s degree in history, before switching gears and attending Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center and earning her Juris Doctorate degree in 2001.

Shannon began her practice as an indigent defender, representing clients in felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile proceedings. Shannon left this area of practice with a winning trial record and having successfully obtained several favorable appellate decisions for her clients. In 2005, Shannon began practicing in the area of personal injury with a large plaintiff firm in New Orleans, Louisiana, and more recently relocated to a personal injury firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Bringing her devotion to helping those unable to effectively fight for themselves, she has represented hundreds of clients injured by the negligence of others all over the state of Louisiana.  Over the years, Shannon has represented victims in 18 wheeler accidents, hit and run accidents, motorcycle collisions, products liability matters, slip and fall accidents, victims of drunk drivers, and pedestrians injured by careless drivers.  Her clients have included those suffering from various types of injuries, including herniated discs, serious facial scarring, chemical burns, broken vertebrae, severe head injuries, knee injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder, rotator cuff injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and many other types of injuries.  Shannon has a particular passion for going after insurance companies she feels have demonstrated a bad faith handling of claims.

Shannon is married to John Eastman-Stuart and has three children. Shannon enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring antique and vintage shops. She is an avid fan of professional tennis and LSU football.
