Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Shea is a graduate of Central High School. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2001 and earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in 2005. During law school, Shea was President of the Sports and Entertainment Legal Association and a member of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. He also participated in the Civil and Administrative Law Clinic as a student attorney representing indigent clients.
Prior to joining Gordon Mckernan Injury Attorneys, Shea spent eleven years in Baton Rouge and Thibodaux, Louisiana advocating on behalf of people who have been injured in accidents or accused of crimes. His experience includes handling motor vehicle accidents, big truck accidents, slip-and-fall accidents, premises liability and insurance coverage disputes. He has represented clients suffering debilitating injuries to their neck and back as well as traumatic brain injuries. He has tried over 60 jury and judge trials in several different jurisdictions across the state. His extensive experience representing defendants has given him insight into the tactics used by insurance attorneys attempting to withhold money that rightfully belongs to his clients.
He currently resides in Gonzales, Louisiana and enjoys fishing and spending time with his two boys in his spare time.
