G’s Five Good Things — Week of October 20, 2025

“G’s Five Good Things” offers a curated look at the moments, messages, and milestones that stood out to us each week. Our goal is to provide valuable insights through meaningful updates and positive momentum that inform and engage our community.
Let’s get into G’s Five Good Things! And remember, if you ever need help after a wreck or injury, you can contact my team anytime day or night.
The Good Word:
“The disciples had forgotten to bring bread, except for one load they had with them in the boat. ‘Be careful,’ Jesus warned them. ‘Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.’ They discussed this with one another and said, It is because we have no bread.’”
– Mark 8:14-16
The disciples were so focused on what they didn’t have that they missed who was right there with them. We sometimes do the same thing. We beat ourselves up for not being strong enough, smart enough, or capable enough. Faith reminds us that it’s not always about our own ability, but about trusting the one who’s in the boat with us.
This week, instead of worrying about what you lack, focus on who you have. God’s strength fills the gaps we can’t. With Him, even when it feels like we don’t have enough, we actually have all we need.
Good in Action:
Attorney Annabelle Manning recovered a $110,000 settlement for a Baton Rouge client injured on the job. Her dedication reflects our firm’s mission to make sure injured workers are treated fairly and receive the help they need to move forward. Each successful outcome is another step toward helping our clients rebuild with confidence. This settlement provided the financial relief and security our client needed to focus on recovery, and it reinforces our continued dedication to protecting the rights of hardworking people across Louisiana.
Gordon Says:
Taylor Swift’s new album The Life of a Showgirl inspired us to have a little fun with our latest billboards. They’re bright, bold, and yes, covered in glitter. Around here, we call it The Life of a G Lawyer. It’s a reminder that hard work and heart can still shine. So if you’re driving around town, keep an eye out, you’ll spot the sparkle before you even see the logo.
This billboard is all about celebrating the blend of grit and glamour that defines our team. Because whether it’s in the courtroom or out in the community, we believe in showing up with confidence, compassion, and just the right amount of shine.
Get Legal with @GetGordon:
Were you in a wreck only to find out the other driver didn’t have insurance? It’s a tough spot, and one that leaves a lot of people feeling SOL.
But here’s the thing: if you carry uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage, you’re not out of options. You can still file a claim with your own insurance and get the help you need to recover. We see this situation more often than you’d think, and it’s a reminder of why being prepared matters. The right coverage can make all the difference when the unexpected happens.
Glimpse Behind the G:
This week, we welcomed LSU running back Caden Durham into the studio. Originally from Oklahoma City, Caden shared how coming to LSU was a lifelong dream inspired by the athletes who came before him. He says what makes playing here special isn’t just the game, but the people, energy, and the reason behind every snap.
