Random Acts of Kindness in Honor of Sandy Hook Victims

December 19, 2012

It’s all across the news and internet, people are committing to “random acts of kindness” in honor of the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary. Connected through the hashtag #26Acts (#20Acts is also trending, honoring the child victims) you can find multiple acts of kindness across the web. I’m in! Are you?

Here are some suggestions:
• Serve at a soup kitchen in your area.
• Donate a toy to a child or teen in need.
• Deliver some sweet treats to your local first responders, fire department and police officers.
• Volunteer in a classroom to be a reader, mentor or tutor.
• Thank your local teachers with a card or treat.
• Donate to the Sandy Hook Relief Fund.
• Donate blood to your local blood bank.
• Keep someone less fortunate warm this winter, by donating a coat, hat or gloves.
• Buy for the person behind you in a drive-thru.
• Sponsor a less fortunate family for Christmas.

You can also visit the website dosomething.org for resources and suggestions.

Sharing acts of kindness helps to inspire others. I would like to hear about your suggestions and random acts of kindness.

God Bless,

Gordon
