Veterans Flag Raising & Fundraiser Ceremony

On November 10, 2017, Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys raised the American flag in honor of our veterans and as a celebration to the end of our Veterans Fundraiser with Fisher House Foundation. We set out with a goal to raise $50,000 for our veterans and were extremely excited to have been able to raise over $100,000, including the firm’s $25,000 donation.

Our ceremony was a time to honor our veterans and celebrate the efforts of the community, our attorneys and staff in rallying together to make a difference this Veterans Day. We had the privilege of having several special guests in attendance. Dr. Breaux, History Professor at Southern, was able to share about the history of the American flag and Veterans Day. Denise Dolan, Chief Advancement Officer of Fisher House, was in attendance, and she spoke about the difference Fisher House Foundation is making across the country. Joshua Wells, U.S. Army Veteran, as served as a face of our fundraiser by sharing his life-changing story and revealing how organizations like Fisher House Foundation truly make a difference. He left everyone with a moving quote about why he believes veterans chose to fight for our freedom.
