G’s Five Good Things — Week of January 23, 2026
“G’s Five Good Things” offers a curated look at the moments, messages, and milestones that stood out to us each week. Our goal is to provide valuable insights through meaningful updates and positive momentum that inform and engage our community.
Let’s get into G’s Five Good Things! And remember, if you ever need help after a wreck or injury, you can contact my team anytime day or night.
The Good Word:
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
In the midst of full schedules and constant responsibilities, we often carry more than we were meant to handle alone. This verse calls us to pause, breathe, and lean on God when things feel heavy. Finding rest doesn’t always mean stopping completely; it means trusting God and releasing burdens as we move through the week. When we choose faith over control, we let God steady us and direct our steps. When we lean on Him, faith gives us true rest, even when nothing feels perfectly in order.
Good in Action:
A Baton Rouge family recently found justice through the dedicated work of Attorneys Candy Be, Richard Zimmerman, and Justin Glenn, who helped secure a $19,000,000 wrongful death settlement on their behalf.
We are grateful to have played a role in achieving an outcome that brings accountability and long-term security in the wake of an unimaginable loss. This case reflects our team’s commitment to thorough advocacy, attention to detail, and the relentless pursuit of justice. We remain dedicated to holding responsible parties accountable and fighting for meaningful results in every case we take on.
Gordon Says:
It’s more than just a check at the end of your case. We strive to offer direction, clarity, and peace of mind during some of life’s most difficult moments. Our approach goes beyond legal strategy, it’s about serving people with integrity, compassion, and purpose. We commit to standing beside our clients with honesty and care at every step of the process. Everything we do is rooted in faith, and that foundation guides how we show up, how we advocate, and how we walk alongside those who place their trust in us.
Get Legal with @GetGordon:
Working through pain because you’re afraid of losing your job is more common than people realize. Injured workers often push past their limits to protect their paychecks, cover mounting bills, and avoid being replaced. But continuing to work while injured can make recovery harder and lead to long-term consequences. Our team can help you understand your rights and options so you can focus on healing without unnecessary stress.
Glimpse Behind the G:
There were so many great moments to celebrate during the Louisiana Marathon this past weekend. Members of our GMIA family took part in the race, and it was inspiring to see them challenge themselves and stay committed to their goals outside of the office. Events like this are a great reminder that discipline, teamwork, and perseverance extend far beyond the workplace.
We loved being part of the energy along the route with our 25-mile selfie board, giving runners a chance to snap a photo, tag us, and celebrate how far they’d come. Seeing so many smiles and determined faces at the 25-mile mark made the day unforgettable, and we were proud to cheer on every runner as they pushed toward the finish line.
