Gordon McKernan graduated from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 1992. Shortly thereafter, he joined McKernan Law Firm and has been practicing law ever since. Today, Gordon is the owner of Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys, where he dedicates his practice to representing everyday people who have been injured due to the negligence of others.
Gordon is licensed to practice law in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. Throughout his career, he has handled a wide variety of personal injury claims, including 18-wheeler accidents, car wrecks, drunk driving accidents, commercial vehicle accidents, vehicle rollovers, offshore and maritime cases, and wrongful death cases. He has also represented clients suffering from serious injuries and conditions, including traumatic brain injuries, amputations, Legionnaires’ disease, fractures, burns, and spinal disc injuries.
Gordon has represented thousands of clients throughout Louisiana, including in Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Shreveport, Monroe, New Orleans, and Gonzales. He has personally handled more than 40 cases with verdicts exceeding $1 million, demonstrating his extensive experience in personal injury litigation.
Gordon is married to his high school sweetheart, Shannon, and together they have four children and two grandchildren. He is actively involved with his family and church and enjoys reading, traveling, hunting, fishing, exercising, and coaching his children’s sports teams.
