Gordon Gives

Gordon Gives is a program that allows Gordon McKernan and Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys to give back to the community. God has bestowed numerous blessings on McKernan Law and its staff. Gordon’s desire is to do his part in giving back to people that may have a need.

Gordon and Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys’s joy is to see the effect that giving back has made. Gordon and the firm has been able to donate TV’s to area hospitals in a time of need, send a baseball team to their world series when their money was stolen, ministered and given gifts to families during Christmas and much more.

Gordon and Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys believe that it is our responsibility and desire to be a blessing to the community in any way we can.

Gordon Gives to Fairy Godmother Prom Extravaganza – 2013

Gordon Gives is proud to support Councilwoman, C. Denise Marcelle from District 7 and her Fairy Godmother Prom Extravaganza program. The Fairy Godmother Prom Extravaganza is in its fifth year of servicing over 300 young ladies and men in EBR Parish, Baton Rouge. The Fairy Godmother Prom Extravaganza originally started as a prom dress giveaway but has evolved into offering free prom dresses, tuxedos and suits for young men as well.

Gordon Gives to LSU’s Sigma Chi Fraternity’s “Derby Days”

Gordon Gives is proud to be a Gold Sponsor this year for Sigma Chi’s Derby Days 2013. Derby Days is a yearly event to raise money for local charities and increase community involvement.

Gordon Gives to the Faces of Hope Gala & Silent Auction

Gordon Gives is proud to be a Bronze Sponsor to the Faces of Hope 3^rd Annual Gala & Silent Auction to be held on April 20, 2013 at 7pm. Trafficking Hope.org will be hosting this event to help raise money for the Hope House of Louisiana. This special home provides safe housing and rehabilitative services for victims of human trafficking.

Gordon Gives to Baton Rouge Fellowship of Christian Athletes

On Friday, May 10, 2013 the Baton Rouge Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be hosting its 2nd Annual FCA Night of Champions Banquet at the LSU Indoor Football facility. The guest speaker this year is Luke McCown, Atlanta Falcons quarterback. Gordon Gives is a silver sponsor for this event.

Gordon Gives to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital ~ Mark Goins | Gordon McKernan

St. Jude's Hospital provides care at no charge to its patients. Without St. Jude's there may be those that may not have been able to finish their race. Mark Goins is going to be running a marathon to raise money for St. Jude's at the Walt Disney Marathon Weekend. After the bombing during the Boston Marathon, he was thinking how upset he would be not to be able to finish the race - so he will be running his first full marathon to help raise money for St. Jude's Hospital.

Gordon Gives to LSU School of Kinesiology 14th Annual Golf Tournament

On May 4, 2013, the LSU School of Kinesiology is hosting its annual golf tournament. This year’s tournament. Gordon McKernan is a hole sponsor. All proceeds from the golf tournament will directly benefit the School of Kinesiology including the undergraduate student scholarship fund.

Gordon Gives to Ispotup basketball, a free skills training for boys and girls of all ages. Their goal is to provide essential skills needed both on and off the court by mentoring, training, and supporting them during play. Gordon Gives donated tee shirts for this great cause. Their motto is “Train Hard to Play Easy”.

Gordon Gives teams up with representatives from three local law firms to give four $1,000 endowed scholarships at the Southern University Law Center.
