Celebrating Gordon’s February Teachers of the Month in Baton Rouge
Every month, the Gordon Gives & Tan Cares “225 Bulletin Board” shines a spotlight on educators and school staff who make a meaningful difference in the lives of students across Baton Rouge and the 225 area. February was no exception, as two incredible educators were honored for their dedication, compassion, and impact on local youth.
Meet the February Teacher of the Month Winners
For February, De’isha Brown of Jefferson Terrace Elementary and Jahmal Macklin of Helix Community Schools were selected as the latest recipients of the Teacher of the Month recognition.
Reading through the nominations is always inspiring, but meeting the recipients in person brings the entire experience full circle. Both educators were recognized not only for their commitment to teaching but also for the positive influence they bring to their students and school communities every day.
Their passion for education and service perfectly represents the spirit of the Gordon Gives & Tan Cares Bulletin Board, which was created to celebrate those who go above and beyond inside and outside the classroom.
