Gordon McKernan Partners with New Orleans Digital Creator Keyala Cottrell

At Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys, we’re always looking for meaningful ways to support our community. Sometimes, those connections happen in unexpected ways. That’s exactly how our partnership with New Orleans digital creator and small business owner Keyala Cottrell began.

Like many great partnerships today, ours started online. A few conversations later, it became clear we wanted to do something special together. Keyala isn’t just a digital creator. She’s a passionate local entrepreneur who cares deeply about her community, and we wanted to help amplify her efforts.

A Sweet Collaboration

Keith Accardo, one of our Metairie attorneys and a proud Archbishop Rummel graduate, met Keyala in person to welcome her on behalf of our firm. He brought a bag full of merchandise, which we affectionally call our “G swag.” But we weren’t just there to give, we also picked up a big order from her local business, Keyala’s Pralines. Because when we support each other, the whole community wins.

Lunch and Learn

A few weeks later, Gordon met up with Keyala for lunch at Jamaican Jerk House. The meeting wasn’t just about business. It was a chance to connect on a deeper level, share passions, and learn from each other. Moments like these remind us that partnerships are about relationships, not just transactions.
