The Good Word:
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
– Matthew 6:34
It’s easy to get caught up in what’s coming next, plans, deadlines, problems we haven’t even faced yet. This verse reminds us that God doesn’t want us to carry that weight today. He wants us to live in the moments we actually have, to deal with what’s in front of us, and to trust Him with the rest. When we slow down, notice the little things, and let Him handle the future, life becomes a little lighter, and a lot more meaningful. Paying attention to today lets us find joy in simple moments and strength when things get hard. Trusting Him with tomorrow makes it easier to breathe, even in the middle of a busy day.
Good in Action:
Attorney Holly Lamarche recently helped a Lafayette client secure a $1,925,000 settlement following a serious auto accident. We’re proud to have played a part in ensuring they received the justice, care, and resources needed to get back on their feet.
Gordon Says:
What a weekend! We had an amazing time at our Gordon Gives Bike Giveaway across Alexandria, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Monroe, and Shreveport. 🚲
Seeing the joy on kids’ faces and knowing we could give back to so many families reminded us why this tradition means so much. There’s something truly special about coming together as a community, sharing smiles, laughter, and the simple excitement of a brand-new bike. Moments like these are what make the season brighter, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. Congratulations to all of our winners! We hope your new bikes bring you endless adventures and happy memories.

Being in a car accident can be stressful, scary, and overwhelming. In the moments right after, it’s easy to feel confused about what to do, especially with insurance, paperwork, and the possibility of injuries, even ones you might not notice right away. Taking the right steps early can make a big difference in keeping yourself safe and protecting your rights. Here’s what you should do immediately:
- Make sure everyone is safe and out of danger.
- Call the police and exchange insurance information.
- Take notes or photos of the scene.
- Be honest with the officer about what happened.
- Seek medical attention if needed.
- Consider contacting an attorney, personal injury lawyers like me don’t charge unless we recover for you.
Glimpse Behind the G:
Stopped by Pat’s Coats for Kids distribution day to help deliver some warmth to kids in our community. This program makes sure children have coats during the colder months, and it’s incredible to see the impact it has. Even a small contribution can make a big difference, and it’s inspiring to see so many people come together to help. It’s incredible how much a caring community can do to brighten a child’s day. We’re grateful to everyone who supports this program and proud to witness such an important effort in action.
