Happy Independence Day

, Happy Independence Day

Independence Day, also referred to as America’s Birthday or the 4th of July, is an annual celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The Continental Congress voted in favor of independence from Great Britain on July 2, 1776. However, the formal adoption of the Declaration of Independence, written mainly by Thomas Jefferson, did not occur until two days later.

The very first celebration of Independence Day on July 4, 1777, included bonfires, the ringing of bells, parades, and fireworks. For over 200 years, Americans have continued to celebrate the birth of our great nation. Independence Day has become synonymous with family gatherings, BBQs, and fireworks.

Independence Day 2021 is on Sunday, July 4, 2021, and the federal holiday will be observed on Monday, July 5, 2021. Our office locations will be closed on Monday, July 5, 2021, in observation of the federal holiday, but as always, our phones will be open.

We wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July!
