Gordon Gives Sponsors CANN 5k Race

Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in partnership with the Ivy Foundation, Inc. and the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank for their inaugural Changing and Advancing Nutrition Now (CANN) 5K Race. The goal of the inaugural CANN 5K Race is to promote awareness of childhood hunger and to raise money for college scholarships for high-school students in the Greater Baton Rouge Community. The CANN 5K Race will take place on May 30, 2015 at the North Boulevard Town Square in downtown Baton Rouge. The Gamma Eta Omega Chapter has been promoting service in the Greater Baton Rouge Community since 1940. Through annual service projects focused on Health Awareness, Academic Success, Leadership Training, Global Poverty, Economic Security and Social Justice, including Human Rights and Domestic Violence, they have been able to expand their impact across the city and continue their mission of “Service to All Mankind for more than seventy-five (75) years.
