Celebrating 27 Years at Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys

Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys is proudly celebrating 27 YEARS of practice in Louisiana and owes it all to the support of this community. Serving Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Shreveport, Alexandria, Lake Charles, Monroe, Hammond and surrounding areas with exceptional legal service has been his most significant addition to a profound McKernan family legacy. From the very beginning, McKernan Law Firm was built on Christian principles and protecting the rights of those whose lives were altered due to an accident.

GMIA was founded originally as McKernan Law Firm in the early ’80s by Gordon McKernan’s late father, Joseph ‘Jerry’ McKernan. Gordon McKernan was inspired by his father to practice law and began working with his father’s firm back in high school. One of his greatest joys was being able to work alongside his father at Mckernan Law Firm for nearly 20 years before his father’s passing. Gordon’s father taught him to stand up for others and look out for those that are less fortunate.

Gordon McKernan eventually took over the firm in 2009, and the firm became Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys. Since 2009, Gordon has made his presence known throughout the state of Louisiana through impeccable legal work and unmistakable representation in every corner of the community. After all these years, Gordon remains grounded in his faith and Christian principles that were taught by his father.

As a family-oriented man, Gordon strongly believes in treating his clients as if they are a member of the family. Gordon is also a firm believer in giving back to the community, which he does through his charitable organization, Gordon Gives. Continuing what his father taught him, Gordon McKernan believes that he should do right by those who need help in response to the many blessings and opportunities that have been given to him – in doing so, continuing to honor God’s mandate through his success. The team at Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys truly believes that it is their responsibility and desire to be a blessing to the local communities.
