On Friday, June 10th, at Whiskey Bay, a 6-vehicle pile-up closed the west lane of Interstate 10 for nearly four hours, resulting in twelve people injured. While the cause of the accident and the severity of the damages is still unclear, officials reported that five people were sent to the hospital after the multiple crashes occurred.

Unfortunately, accidents on I-10 happen frequently, as it is proven to be one of the most dangerous roads in Louisiana. In  2019, there were 44 fatal crashes on I-10, accounting for nearly 50% of the total number of deadly interstate crashes in Louisiana that year.

The devastating aftermath of car accidents on I-10 in Louisiana can be traumatic and often result in victims suffering from personal injury. In the worst-case scenario, families must handle stressful matters like dealing with costly hospital bills, vehicle repairs, and insurance companies while grieving a wrongful death
