School Bus Crash in West Baton Rouge Parish

In a tragic turn of events, a school bus was involved in a multi-vehicle crash in West Baton Rouge Parish on Tuesday, February 24. As reported by BR Proud, the crash happened about 3:30 PM at the corner of LA 1 and Emily Drive. The school bus turned left across the highway and was T-boned by a white truck.

As a result, the bus turned clockwise and struck two other vehicles waiting to turn onto LA 1.

Even though we’re not sure at this time what caused the pile-up, chances are it was completely preventable. Several students experienced personal injuries, and some of them, as well as the driver and co-driver of the bus, all of the passengers of the pickup truck, and two older individuals on the scene were taken to the hospital.
