Infants Fall into Apartment Complex Pool, Resulting in Catastrophic Injury

Our team of premises liability lawyers at Gordon McKernan recently filed suit on behalf of a family dealing with the devastating aftermath of their two infant children falling into a pool at an apartment complex. One child was the victim of catastrophic brain injury who unfortunately passed away, and the sister is now quadriplegic due to spinal cord injuries.

With any type of injury, there are usually unexpected medical expenses to go along with it. In the case of child injuries, especially those concerning wrongful death and catastrophic injuries, these are especially tragic. It’s important for apartment complexes to be vigilant and to ensure the safety of their tenants. Without safety features (such as a gate surrounding the pool) in place, what happened to this family could happen to anyone.

Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys are well-versed when it comes to taking on premises liability cases and holding residential rental companies accountable for unsafe properties. With this family having to deal with so much, we were determined to fight for justice and get them the compensation they deserve so that they can hopefully begin to move forward.

We filed suit in Louisiana.
